I really love my boss so there was NO way that I could let this holiday pass by without making her a little something. She's not big on having more clutter on her desk to get in the way of all her paper so I thought the best thing to do was make a magnet. Here's what you would need to get started:
1. piece of wood (I bought a bag of different shapes of wood at Hobby Lobby for around $10. This will last me for a lot of projects.)
2. Mod Podge
3. paint/paper design of your choice
4. letters (I bought a couple bags of wooden letters from Hobby Lobby - $3.00 ea., but you can use anything you like...stamps, marker, paper letters, etc.)
5. scissors/razor/nail file
Here's the end product:
I glued some magnets on the back, then had the group of her direct employees sign the back with a personal message and there ya go! A personal gift for about $2.50. Everything you buy will have leftovers that can be used for other projects.

Custom: Princess Butterfly Frame
I hope these blue butterflies make one little 7-year-old very happy. I want to keep it! :)
This is a 3.5 x 3.5 frame that a father requested for his daughter. She's a very girly girl and daddy's little princess (monkey!).
And here's a side view. I used 3 paints (metallic blue topaz, caribbean teal, and black) to get the perfect match.

True Love Stories have no Endings.
(3.5 x 3.5 picture frame)
Just a quick little entry to show off the wedding frame I made for my cousin Samantha. A little unconventional but she's young so I think she will appreciate it. I really hope that she likes it! Yes, it's a little late but you know the saying...better late than never.
I had a hard time deciding between the black with hearts and the red, so I just went with a little of both. I really love the hearts! I'm excited I was finally able to use it. :)
In a few more months I will be making a baby frame for the happy couple. I just want to wait to find out if it's a girl or boy. (I'm secretly hoping for a girl - we seriously have a lot of boys in the family!)
p.s. don't forget about the fan giveaway.

So new to this....
I have never done a blog before but I think it could be fun...and useful. So this will start out slow but I will get better, I promise.
I guess this first post can be a little introduction about me and my 'hobby', and what this blog will be all about. My name is Amanda and one thing I like to do is design frames. I started doing this a few years ago with my mom and sister. It really just began as something for us to do together for ourselves, but then we thought there were probably others out there who would like these too!. To date we have not done a whole lot to get our work out to the public: a couple craft shows and a quick run on etsy that I did not promote top the list. But now I have a new house where I can dedicate space to all of this and I'm going to give it another try (I'm in that go-get-'em mood). So here are a couple examples:
